Yes, we provide linens, bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, dish towels and dish cloths. However, if you prefer your own, you are welcome to bring them with you.

We provide toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, tissue, coffee/filters for 1 night, bar soap, hand soap, dish soap, basic spices, and trash bags. Dishes, plates, silverware, pots, pans, glasses etc. are in most cabins. I suggest bringing disposable plates and utensils, so you do not have to do the dishes. We want your stay here to be comfortable, enjoyable, and complete.

“If you pack it in then pack it out”

Crown King as well as the entire Prescott National Forest does NOT have trash removal service. You MUST take your trash back down the mountain with you to dispose. Limit what you bring, especially food. Enjoy and patronize local Eateries. Do not leave food garbage outside…I will personally guarantee a visit from a wild animal of some sort. If you absolutely can not take your trash, notify owner for alternatives.

(Just like at the Grand Canyon). or you can pay us a “dump fee” of $20 per bag.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the Estate/Venue or in any Suites, Cabins and bathrooms.  If you do not comply we will ask you to leave and we may charge you for any and all costs we incur in cleaning the room (including, but not limited to, fixtures, fittings and soft furnishings) and restoring it to a smoke-free environment. Fumigation fee’s start at $300 and may escalate .  Cigarette butt fees are $25 per butt.

Entire Estate is on Septic and Private Well:

Prevent water & septic issues please.

So please follow these simple rules.

1.  Educate family, guests and especially children to use limited amounts of toilet paper.

2.  NOTHING except toilet paper in the toilets especially; NO  wipes, man(dude) wipes, baby wipes, girl wipes, flushable wipes of any kind, diapers, or feminine products . These products destroy our septic system.

If discovered large septic repair fee’s will be applied for removal of forbidden objects.     Minimum charge is $2K just to drive up here.

3.  Limit showers to 5-7 minutes.  Arizona is in a Drought Crisis and so is Crown King..

4.  Do NOT leave a water source running

5.  Notify MGMT immediately if your toilet is running.

If you allow your children to play with games and toys please have them return the games how they found them for others to enjoy

If you allow children to play  on the outdoor toys please supervise and play at your own risk

Do not allow children to roam onto private properties.

Fire Pits

If you choose to have an outdoor fire (provided there are no restrictions)”privilege”, you must accept responsibility, have fire safety at all times and make sure the property and guests are safe. Fires MUST be extinguished properly before you retire. Never leave the fire unattended.  You can bring your own wood, gather it, or we sell bundles for $10

Fire Restrictions

During Prescott National Forest Restrictions there will be no fires of any kind including BBQ grills & no smoking (unless you smoke inside your vehicle)

*Fines are extreme & start at $1000.00

Yes, but the grills are charcoal grills, and you will need to bring charcoal and lighter fluid or purchase it in the store. During fire restrictions, you will not be able to use the charcoal grills. You are welcome to bring a propane grill.

No, we do not. Unfortunately, the Prescott National Forest does not have anything marked, however, be adventurous and explore the acres upon acres of forest on your own. You can also visit with the locals and they will share their favorite places.  GPS works as well.

Yes, Horsethief Basin is a small man-made lake. It is 7.5 miles from the town of Crown King. It is an un-maintained forest service road and quite bumpy. It will take you at least 55 minutes to get there but well worth the drive with amazing views of the Sonoran Desert below. You can fish but you will need to get a fishing license down in the valley before your trip. Game and Fish does regulate the area.

Roku smart TV’s have been installed. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, YouTube TV, etc.  Sign into your account and make sure you sign out when you leave!  BUT…..Crown King has limited Satellite Wifi and can and will be affected by bad weather, trees, etc.  If you have a hotspot please use it. Just an idea….turn off all devices and enjoy nature and each others company.

Call 911 immediately. The Crown King Volunteer Fire Department will be dispatched to your location. They have an EMT on staff most times and will stabilize you and arrange for transport off the mountain, if needed, via ambulance or helicopter depending on extent of injury. Please notify the Innkeeper of any injuries.

Firearm Policy:

Please keep all firearms out of your cabins/suites. If there are any firearms left inside your cabin/suite, it’s a  min. $500.00 fine. There is no shooting within the town limits and beyond.  It is illegal to shoot wild life as well.  Call owner immediately if you spot encroaching wildlife and Game & Fish will be notified.

PARKING

Suites:  Main circle driveway, labeled guest parking. If you have multiple vehicles notify owner for additional parking.

NO TRAILER parking available in the circle drive.

Cabins: Most cabins have their own parking entrances.  All have gates that will be open upon arrival.  Gates are narrow, limited large vehicles and trailer parking is discouraged.  Damage to the gates is renters responsibility.  The Cottage by the Creek Cabin does have a circle drive for trailers but again the gate entry is narrow.

We cannot be responsible or guarantee that other guests or members of the public will not enter our guest parking and steal or damage your vehicle or property in it. When you park or arrange for parking of your vehicle in our car park, you accept the risk of theft or damage of or to your vehicle and property in it.

Yes, our policy is, “If you Stay, you Pay”. The cost is $25 extra per person per night. This is due to the extra cleaning and wear and tear on the rentals. We must limit the amount of people because of our fragile septic and well situation. Plus, the extras guests are enjoying our beautiful facility.

The maximum Suite occupancy is 2 adults. Cabins can accommodate 4 adults . You must not exceed the maximum occupancy for the room allocated to you. We reserve the right to conduct checks on occupancy. Occupancy is not transferable.

Any child under the age of 16 may only stay at the Venue if accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also staying at the Venue.

We reserve the right to change your room allocation at any point during your stay for any reason.

No you do not, especially if you are prudent and drive carefully. The only time you will need 4 x 4 is during snow season.  Some trails require 4×4 as well.  Especially the back way into Crown King called the 711 and the Senator Hwy into Prescott.  Call the Innkeeper for questionable road conditions.  Remember the Crown King road is a “historic” one lane, unpaved road.  Be safe and aware that others may drive too fast, so get over safely to the side.
